Before Using the TCCS Simulation Software Program
---------------------------------------------------
The TCCS Simulation Software Program has been developed to supplement
the basic study of the TCCS engine control system.
In the process of learning the TCCS this TCCS Simulation enables you to
deepen your understanding of the TCCS.
The functions and operations of the components as described in the
training and repair manuals are simulated by a personal computer.
The following manuals may be used as reference materials in studying
the TCCS, while using the TCCS Simulation:
TEAM Manual TTM 301EN
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1MZ-FE Engine Repair Manual, RM 550E for M-OBD
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is a limit to the operations and functions that can be simulated
on a personal computer. As such, the performance of the TCCS Simulation
could vary from actual on-vehicle conditions.
===================================================================
The TCCS Simulation program is comprised of three types of screens:
===================================================================
[System screen]
The system screen consists of a combination meter and an engine
sectional view. It enables you to check at a glance conditions
such as engine rpm, vehicle speed, fuel injection duration, and
ignition timing.
In addition, various types of keys are provided at the right side
of the screen: engine operating keys, such as the ignition switch,
accelerator pedal, and shift lever; and the condition setting keys
to simulate various engine running conditions, such as the air
temperature, water temperature, type of fuel used, and other
conditions.
To obtain information regarding the function of these keys,
click on the HELP key.
(HELP key is available in System, Circuit and Data screens.)
[Circuit screen]
This screen contains the wiring diagram of the system. With the use
of tools such as the "open" and "ground" for simulating electrical
mulfunctions, "oscillo." and "volt" for measuring ECU's input and
output signals.
To use these keys, click on a tool key and move the cursor near to
the ECU terminal on the screen. Click again when the cursor changes
into a tool symbol.
In addition to the above keys, It is also provided with operation
keys and condition setting keys as in the other screens.
[Data Screen]
Displays the TCCS ECU's RAM output and its terminal output signals.
By selecting the terminal name, data can be changed to a line graph
display.
On the right, similar operation and condition setting keys as in
the other screens.

Symptom Simulation
==================
Mechanical or electrical malfunction symptoms that are simulated in
the TCCS Simulation could differ from those that occur in an actual
engine.
Furthermore, some functions provided in the actual TCCS ECU are not
included in this TCCS Simulation.
Symptoms differ primarily in the following areas:
