Internet Explorer (IE) mode in Microsoft Edge allows you to use older, IE-dependent websites within the Edge browser by enabling the feature in Settings > Default browser and then restarting the browser. To use IE mode for a specific site, go to the three-dots menu in the top-right corner, select "Reload in Internet Explorer mode," and the page will reload with an IE icon next to the address bar. You can also set pages to always open in IE mode by clicking the IE icon after the page has loaded.
Enable Internet Explorer mode in Edge
Open Microsoft Edge and click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner.
Select Settings, then click on Default browser in the left-hand menu.
Find the "Internet Explorer compatibility" section and set the dropdown menu for "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode" to Allow.
Click the Restart button to apply the changes.
Use Internet Explorer mode for a specific website
Navigate to the website that requires IE mode.
Click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner.
Select Reload in Internet Explorer mode from the menu.
A small IE icon will appear next to the address bar, indicating the page is now in IE mode.
You can click the IE icon to set the page to always open in IE mode or exit IE mode by clicking the "Exit Internet Explorer mode" button that appears.
Manage sites for Internet Explorer mode
To add a specific page to the list to always open in IE mode:
Click the IE icon in the address bar.
Toggle the option "Open this page in Internet Explorer mode next time" to the on position.
To manage pages on the list:
Go to Settings > Default browser.
Find the section for "Internet Explorer mode pages" where you can manage your list of sites.
To disable Internet Explorer mode completely:
Go to Settings > Default browser.
Set the "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode" option back to Don't allow and restart the browser.
